Hair transplantation is a medical procedure, not a product, so we do not issue warranty certificates or guarantee a specific result. The outcome depends not only on the surgical procedure but also on the patient’s healing process and adherence to post-operative instructions.
Why the result is not only in the surgeon’s hands
For example, smoking can negatively affect healing, and patients may accidentally damage newly implanted grafts during washing or other daily activities. Some patients also fail to follow important instructions, such as avoiding swimming pools and the sea for the first three weeks.
I have even personally witnessed an extraordinary situation where a patient underwent a hair transplant without informing his wife, and while he was sleeping that night, his wife used tweezers to pull out the newly implanted grafts. This is an extreme example, but it demonstrates that certain circumstances are completely beyond the surgeon’s control.
What happens if the density is not sufficient?
However, we do stand behind our work. If any transplanted area shows insufficient density after the final result has developed, we will assess the situation and, when appropriate, perform a corrective procedure at no additional charge. Please note that this covers the corrective procedure itself.
We believe in being honest and transparent with our patients. While no surgeon can guarantee a particular number of surviving grafts or a specific density, we take responsibility for our work and remain committed to supporting our patients throughout their recovery.
Best regards,
Dr. Yetkin Bayer
